This policy explains how Urban Abstractions (“we”, “us”), a trading name of Bristol Internet Ltd, collects and uses your personal data when you visit our website, contact us or place an order. Bristol Internet Ltd is the data controller. For any privacy question, email [email protected].
Information we collect
- Enquiries. When you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message.
- Orders. If you buy from us, we collect the details needed to fulfil your order — your name, email address, mobile number and UK delivery address, and a record of what you ordered. If you place an order to arrange (without paying online), we use these details to contact you and arrange payment and delivery.
- Payments. Card payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. Stripe processes this payment data as a controller in its own right; see Stripe’s privacy policy for details.
- Usage data. We collect anonymous, aggregated information about how the site is used (pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location) through analytics cookies.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data, including a truncated version of your IP address, on our behalf. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Essential cookies needed for the site to function (such as your chosen town and basket) are always set.
We use Resend to send and deliver email — for example, replies to your enquiry and order confirmations. When we email you, or you email us through the site, your message and email address are processed by Resend acting as our processor.
How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
- To process, fulfil and deliver your orders.
- To operate, secure and improve our website.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Our lawful bases are: performance of a contract (to fulfil orders), our legitimate interests (to respond to enquiries and improve the site), your consent (for non-essential analytics cookies) and compliance with legal obligations.
Sharing your data
We don’t sell your data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the business — currently Google (analytics), Resend (email), Stripe (card payments) and our delivery partners — and with professional advisers or authorities where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages only as long as needed to deal with your query, and order records for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes (generally six years), after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and the site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published here with its “last updated” date.
