About the studio
A familiar city, seen as shape and colour.
Urban Abstractions is not a photography business. It’s a place-based art studio: we take the buildings, water and quiet corners of Bath and reduce them to line, plane and pure colour — work made to live on a wall, not in a souvenir drawer.
The approach
Every piece is built to feel premium, modern and architectural — minimal where it can be, timeless rather than trend-led. No gloss, no clutter, no tourist-guide layouts.
We start from a photograph and abstract it: geometry, reflections, colour and the industrial grain of the city, broken into faceted planes that read as well from across a room as they do up close.
The craft
Prints are produced as limited editions on matt archival and cotton-rag papers, signed and numbered by hand. The range runs from postcard sets and the Bath Reimagined hardback through to large fine-art prints, gallery framing and commissioned installations.
Everything is made to order in Bath and shipped with free UK delivery.
The series
Bath Reimagined is the first of a growing set of city collections under the Urban Abstractions name. The aim is simple: that one day you’ll choose a piece because it’s an Urban Abstractions work — whichever city it’s drawn from.
